Hi sir im sorry this post has come a bit late, Its just that my computer at home broke and havent been able to connect to blogger for a while. But here is my contents page for you to mark ready for my return to school

Final Idea for my front cover !!

Well ladies and gentlemen, here it is, the moment you have all been waiting for....... drum roll please .... (drums start) .................. ............................... .... ..... My final front cover for my music magazine (well hopefully until I receive feedback and have to change it all :P.) After over 5 separate attempts at it, it is finally finished and ready to be looked at to gain feedback. :P If anyone other than Mr Taylor or the teachers look at it please comment on it so I know if I have to change any more and make another million edits and mock ups.

Pretty Much There Now

Here is the very very very nearlly pretty much ever so nearlly so close to bein extremely and completely finished product for my magazine cover. I hope my next post is the finished product to be completely honest. However I have enjoyed editin this one as I have been able to find perfect ways in which it can be laid out.

Magazine front cover draft (Nearlly there)

Right then, here is my nearlly last magazine front cover idea.... hopefully. I like this as it has a mix of dark and bright colours such as the red and the black mixing with the pink. Also I like the image at the base of the cover as they look fairly proffessional photos. However I have been told that the writing explaining about upcoming gigs inside has to be a bit different to the mast head and must be easier to read than it already is.

4th Front Cover Idea

This post shows how I plan to place an image on the front cover to look appealing to the metal genre. I think this image looks good as it is verystand out and is a band that most metal listeners will know by the look of them. I hope to make my front cover look like this as it looks pretty good. I have also had feedback off my target audience which say that I am on the way to making a good magazine.

Third Front Cover Design

Here is my third go at a front cover for my magazine. I really like this as it has a cool and weird background. I also like the edge with the tribal flowers. All I need to do now is to take a photo shoot of my band and then I can finish and start on my contents and double page spread. XD

Second magazine Idea

This my second mock up for my music magazine. I have used this background just to get an idea of what will look good when I add a prper background to the current masthead. I like this background image as it has all the colour scheme and loudness of a music magazine based around heavy metal !!!!!!

First magazine idea post (masthead)

This is my first idea of how my masthead will look on my magazine front cover. I have used the chosen colour scheme and the chosen font that my target audience chose for me. I have asked people what they think of it so far and I have had no bad feedback as of yet. :)

Colour schemes

This is what my main colour scheme is going to be for my metal music magazine. I have asked my target audience what they thought of this scheme and all have said that it fits in with what I am doing for the genre wise as they are dark and mysterious colours which are subject to my style of magazine.
Next thing on the agenda is to start mocking up my front covers. See ya soon !!!

Fonts For My Music Magazine

These are the fonts that I decided would look good on a metal magazine cover however I could only really use one so I asked 5 people which one they would choose from my target audience and as you can see the 4th one down got the most votes which means that it will be the main font used throughout the magazine and I may use the other scoring font somewhere within the magazine.

Possible Titles For A Metal Music Magazine

This is a chart to show how my titles were chosen and rated by my target audience, which in this case is people who listen to rock music magazines. As you can see from this document you can see that the title "The Asylum" is the title that got the most choice and is what I will use for my Magazine final project. This title is effective as it is a dark and different title which is unusual just like the music style.

These are the two final copies of the cover for the school magazine and the contents page for my magazine. I have received feedback and have found out that these are good for a school magazine for pupils and parents. I am happy with these as I find them really eye catching and believe that I would read it myself. The yellow colours of the cover and the blue colour have come from the actual school logo so that they fit in with the school colours theme. Also the contents pageis simple and only tells the reader about the main topics. This is something that I would change as it does not give the reader information about what is inside the magazine itself.

Preliminary Contents Page Mock Up

Here is a first mock up of my contents page for my preliminary task which is to create a front cover and a contents page for a school magazine. The feedback for this magazine was that it was too simple and the text needed to change font. However the images and the title were good to keep for my next one.

2nd Preliminary Cover Mock Up - Final

Here is my second mock up of a front cover for my school magazine, I have received the feedback for this magazine cover and have discovered that it is what most people like, so I am going to use this as the final copy for my preliminary task magazine cover.

My First Preliminary Mock Up

This is my first mock up of my preliminary school magazine which I have asked 8 people about how I can improve what I have done so far.
Most of the answers have been to fill in all of the empty spaces that are around on the page also that I need to change the fonts on the splashes to make a difference to the cover. By doing this it would look more sophisticated and alot more attractive apparently.

My Magazine Genre Covers

This is an image that relates to my chosen genre of music magazine, which in this case is a heavy metal based magazine. These magazines include the famous titles of Kerrang and Metal Hammer. I will look to make my magazine resemble something of this style for example a whole medium shot of the band or a close up on their faces as in the Slipknot Metal Hammer issue which is the image of the Jesus looking Joey Jordison (drummer) This is a dark and mysterious magazine where he does not reveal what he actually looks like. Also there are many dark magazines however most of them actually have the band on them where you can see their faces.

Word Cloud

The first thing that I did was complete a word cloud which incudes words that are associated with media throughout the world. It was done so i could look back on it and if i ever needed any words that I need to associate with the topics within the media studies subject, t is always there to help me.
